Mom and Dad Hoyt will be happy to know that the circular saw they gifted to Nathan this year was put to good use finally.

After our neighbor, Ryan, saw from across the street that Nathan was sawing the 2x4's by hand he graciously strolled over with his compound miter saw to loan.

Nathan was practically giddy when he came inside, so much so that I followed him outside to see what he was up to. When I asked him where the nice new saw came from (suspecting he snuck the purchase by me) he said sarcastically "the miter saw fairy gave it to me." I made sure to get a twelve pack of Ryan's favorite beer to him before we left for the holidays.
Later that day I was in the house reading when I realized that there no more noise coming from the garage. In fact it had been quiet for some time...
I step outside to check on Nathan and sure enough...

Nathan's version of a "stress test" is being performed.
This is the first set of shelves, a second set is in the works and both are to be primed and painted when we return from the holidays. Tomorrow we fly out from Carolina and begin visiting our families for a couple of weeks. For the meantime, here is a cute holiday video for you all to enjoy...
Merry Christmas Everyone!
