Nathan has arrived in Bagram safely. There is a 9 1/2 hour time difference between him and I now. Where my day is winding down his was just beginning. He has his own room and a small office where he can access his email. Unfortunately phone calls will be a bit difficult to make. His call tonight will most likely be the only time we will talk this week. Thank God for email, what did people do before?
He will be given his APO address tomorrow, if anyone would like it please email me in a few days and I should have it for you. The FRG (Family Readiness Group) will be sending out periodic shipments where we will be able to send large boxes over to our loved ones. My plan is to send one care package a month. My first package will be going out Feb. 20th if anyone wants to send me items to be included in the box just make sure it gets to be before then. For a list of prohibitied items please go here

More than anything all of your support is appreciated the most.
Meanwhile, life goes on. A fellow Army wife and dear friend insisted to me that it is essential that life go on as usual, maintaining the consistency of life at home. This way it will be as though he never left when he returns. Great advice.
Day one. Check.
